DX9 mode is alot slower...which I could deal with as I have lots of performance.

However, DX9 & Alpha Hack did not fix it, and I toggled FBA and nothing. I guess my only choice is Skipdraw, which kind of sucks, losing shadows, post process effects, and stuff like that. Only fix is Software? Disappointing.

As I said before, in Xenosaga I with skipdraw 1 you only lose the messed up shadows, which were not working properly in hardware mode anyway...

Ah, well Squall said I'd lose post processing effects and whatnot. That wiki entry says texture filtering should fix it, doesn't seem to, disappointing. I guess I can live without shadows.

It just feels like something else IS missing, as GPU usage goes from 80% to 30% with SkipDraw 1 turned on. I was also doing the tutorial for Special Attacks and had a random hangup, it resumed, but was odd, as both CPU & GPU were far from 100%.

Maybe it has to do with my revision, maybe I'll wait for a couple more to come out.

Sorry to double post, but figured I'd update you.So I tried an older revision and it worked, so hrm...

I went back to my current one and did DX9, Offset & Alpha hack, and yeah, it "works", I guess. Shadows are there...but...they do not look right...they're like a ton of little circles forming a shape. Default shadows look different. It even works in DX11. What I really don't understand about this...

Is I already did tried it. When you guys suggested it a few days ago, I tried it, and it didn't work. Nothing has changed since then...yet now it seems to work. Speed is fully there as well. I'm confused here. In DX9 mode, the text is faded out and grey / hard to read. DX11 it seems fine...but I get some "blur' added, kind of like what you use the Offset hack to get rid of.

I just don't get WHY it works now...same revision, folder untouched, and same settings I tried TWO days ago.

One final thing I notice, and can't explain...is it seems "slower". I mean it's 60FPS, and even unlocked it goes to 120FPS. I can't really explain it, but things don't seem as smooth, Going to have to try some more stuff.

GPU & CPU Usage seem low though.

CPU is averaging 30-40%(I get that it's limited to 2-3 cores, MTVU enabled), though speed isn't an issue, just amazed somewhat.

The odd thing is the GPU...I'm running 3x Native, and 4x MSAA. It's averaging about 15-20% in full screen. If I uncapp, it goes to about 60-70% @ 120FPS though. I dunno, just feels low. Odd thing though, if I bump it to 4x Native, FPS is still fine, yet I get odd stutter, even though it's always perfectly 60FPS.

did you happen to choose fast boot this time instead of fullboot?

I always use Fast boot. I very rarely use fullboot, unless to troubleshoot an issue. Also, I heard something about Progressive Skin, Hold X + Triangle upon startup? I tried doing that in a few games that supposedly support it during the start up, but nothing came up.
