yeah...it was around 100c lol. I read the i3's begin throttling around that point. I saw no lag or anything while playing god of war, and even ran skyrim with all my mods in the 40fps range opposed to low 30's. pcsx2 running GoW is what spiked it. It never hit 80 with skyrim. maybe i'll look into overclocking again and just do it myself Blink

I'm probably going to buy the 660 if I have the extra money next month, and just glancing at i5's, they're not that expensive either. Of course, I have no idea what version I should get yet, but the price difference between them isn't so bad.

Yeah 100c is way too high to be comfortable.

Unfortunately the newer i5's use a new motherboard socket.

That could work I guess, if you overclock.

You are gonna need a cpu cooler for that.

One like this : www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002VKVZ1A

Or even better, one like this: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005O65JXI

This game is indeed on the slow side, but to say that his old i5 too slow for this game is pulling it. I could run this game on my old 6000+ around 40-42ish FPS with some tweaks.
