Xenosaga I slow due to GS
#1
hey,

I noticed that many slowdowns in Xenosaga I are caused by the GS. Especially in battles with mechs it is very obvious. I use the current Beta in native mode and still get sometimes only 30 in graphic intense cutscenes and battles. I tried enabling and disabling Logarithmic Z, Alpha Correction and 8-Bit Textures but none of the above helped. My GPU is an overclocked 8800GT, which should be sufficent. Is there any way to speed up the GS settings?

Try a (Software) renderer in the slow scenes (F9 while playing in the latest beta should do it nicely), nothing much you can do about it.

Not many battles are that slow tho (unless you use the A.W.G.S all the time that is Tongue).

Only relates to the same game:

I know this sounds awkward but I noticed that this game does not have much background music. For example in towns and on ships etc. Any other RPG has town or dungeon themes. Is this supposed to be so or is the emulator "skipping" the BGM in field? Tongue In battle and cutscenes everything is normal.

Nope I recently bought myself a Win 7 x64 Home Premium license. In DX10 mode it really works better.
