Xenosaga episode 1 crashing
When I load a fmv cutscene onboard the elsa it repeatedly freezes and crashes at the same point, I've tried loading from the memory card and it freezes/crashes at the same point no matter what.  Not sure what to do, I've browsed a few other forums with similar problems but not quite like mine.  I've got around 12 hours in it and just passed the point where everyone is arrested, the FMV is when you go into KOS-MOS's room to get her playback of the woglinde being destroyed by gnosis.

I've seen them post the following each time.

1 - antique versions are unsupported.
2 - I hope you do have another PS2 console. This one is likely to cause problems.

Just grabbing the latest stable version v1.4.0 is fine too: http://pcsx2.net/download/releases/windows.html

HDD maybe going bad. Or the obvious thing, the iso you DLed is bad. I believe Xenosaga is dual layer dvd. I could be wrong but it seems like it just can't load the next part considering it maybe not there.

Ok I downloaded the latest version, I haven't messed with any of the settings as of yet but I got past the part where it freezes and crashes! It froze during the cutscenes but eventually gave me a "skip cutscene" option in game as it recognized they were frozen. After some patience I got to the next save point and all seems to be going well! Thanks guys! Laugh
