Yakuza 2 Overbloom and White Lines Issue
#1
Hi there,

I have recently installed PCSX2 0.97 and have been playing Yakuza 2 on it. Whilst using software display mode, everything is fine. If use hardware display mode though (DX9 or 10), I get a large amount of bluriness and overblooming on light sources; this is immediately apparent at the start of chapter 2 on during the train sequence.

I also get a white fuzzy bar appearing on the right side of the screen during certain times in the game too. This does not happen during software rendering.

My log is below:

X2 0.9.7.r3113 - compiled on May 29 2010

I am running a Radeon 1GB 4890 as my gfx card.

Is there anybody that can help me with my problem?

Thanks in advance.

I get the same thing.

As far as I know, there is currently no solution.

The best you can do is use the latest versions of PCSX2 and plugins. The problems are less evident with the newer stuff, but the bugs still remain.

Also, this issue is more pronounced in Yakuza 1 from what I've played.

Either way, you're still playing an incredible game Laugh

No, don't think so. Since it only works properly in software mode, it is evident the issue is on the GSdx plugin's hardware mode. Not much you can do about this but wait and see if a newer version will fix the bugs in hardware mode too.
