I've recently discovered PCSX2 and played through my old Y1 without any problems whatsoever, but whenever I try booting up my Y2 ISO, the PS2 console configuration menu boots up instead and there's nothing I can do to go to the game itself. Can anyone help me ?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):
[code]
Pasted emulog goes here

Looks like your ISO is damaged, also wasn't Yakuza 2 originally came in one DVD9 disc instead of two DVD5s (in US and EU at least)? Judging from your emulog looks like you've only had one of the each layers of the ISOs.

Yes, Yakuza 2 was a dual-layer DVD so that might be causing issues. I did completely finish the game several years ago back in 2017 so it definitely is playable, you might just have to re-dump it.

If it doesn't launch with full boot, fast boot is what you'll have to use. Not like you're missing anything anyway with fast boot

But still, you might want to re-dumping that disc of yours properly in case something happened along the way.
