Yakuza major slowdowns
#1
Hello,

I've been trying to play some Yakuza after finishing both 3 & 4 on the PS3, however I couldn't stand the blurry graphics on my HD TV so I popped the disc in my PC. Happy

I'm having major slowdowns in cities, at the start of battles and during some cutscenes, though I always seem to have around 50 - 60 fps at least.

Tried both hardware and software mode, tried playing in native res and it all didn't help much.

People seem to be running it a lot better than I do, take for example this video;

Only at this part I already had several slowdowns with the text balloons popping up, audio that gets stuck for a couple of seconds because of loading. I really can't figure out why, my CPU is a lot faster than this guy.

Quote:Setup:
Windows 7 Ultimate
AMD Phenom 965 @ 3.9GHz
HD 7770
8 GB RAM
Running the disc straight from the DVD-reader
PSCX 1.0.0
PAL version of the game

first, don't trust youtube videos.
they'll always be played full speed even if the actual gameplay was @10fps.
second, make an iso out of your DVD, and load it into pcsx2
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
