Z-fighting issues in GTA Vice City
#1
Hi there, fellow PS2 enthusiasts!

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to fix z-fighting on this emulator. I've been playing Vice City and you can notice a lot of z-fighting in building windows and building shadows. I've been playing with OpenGL, Vulkan, and DirectX, and have noticed the same thing in each mode. It's been a while since I've been on my emulation rig, but I think it was having z-fighting issues with software mode, too, but I can confirm that sometime if that's important/asked for.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

Known issue, see: https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/issues/3692

Also, probably a "wontfix", per refraction words:

Quote:It potentially never will be, we're limited by 32bit depth on GPU's (which is 23 bits of precision, we need 32bits).

Thanks for the reply, BloodRaynare!
I'm glad to see it's been discussed in the community. Figured it was a longshot to ask, but at least now I don't have to go crazy trying to fix something I can't.
