Then no worries.
Managed to get it up to 40FPS with a bit of tweaking and overclocking. Playable enough. Thanks for your help everyone.

Sorry for the bump but I feel so close to playing this at full speed since in the beginning the battles were at ~18FPS (before adjusting stuff) that I feel that I've got to keep trying. After reading the topic about the kingdom hearts 2 configuration i tried setting the affinity of pcsx2 to cores 0,1,2,3 and the game keeps flutuating between 37FPS and 50FPS -major improvement. Is there a way to keep it a bit more stable (preferably towards 50FPS) since the speed variations is kind of frustrating?

Pics of the plugin config and speedhacks:

(allowing 8bit textures makes the game slower)

Thanks for any help

3.2Ghz+ is recommended for most games but for this game you might want higher than 3.5Ghz.

I don't know about you but the freaking 8 bit makes me play at FULL SPEED. NO LAG AT ALL! Thanks man. What it does anyway?

it uses the gpu's shaders to convert 8bit textures to 8bit. by default they are rendered at 32bit causing them to balloon in size and consume the entire frame buffer.

@PMussulo

Overclock to 4GHz and use one of the latest pcsx2 revision and that should do the trick. If it's not enough, then turn on the hacks. I don't even use hacks to enjoy 60 + fps. Anubis fights are a different story though Wink Oh by the way, this game will give you better fps if you have a Nvidia GPU.

@trishen

You get full speed on the first Anubis boss fight too?

I get it for Everything. No lags.... It maybe because of my brother's computer too. Has 8gb rams and good graphic cards.

get the latest SVN an enable MTVU (could break the game, if it doesn't, expect big gains)
Intel Core i7-8700k @5ghz
G.Skill 16GB DDR4 @3600mhz
GeForce GTX 1080 8GB
Windows 10 x64

When I ticked the 8-bit option in GSDX option I don't get lag, but I lost some speed in certain scenarios. By the way, what's your brother pc specs and did you guys used speedhacks?
