a weird way to increase fps
#1
hi

i can run most games on 2x res with about 50 fps but i found a weird way to increase fps!

on hw hacks the "disable depth emulation" could be a perfect trick but if ...

if there is a way to disable the fog after the tweak!

after the tweak i got stable 60 fps on 2x and good fps on 3x res!

the textures themselves look great but the foggy environment ruin the experience!

is there any way to solve this problem? (except software mode)

thx

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

i know it's not powerful enough but i just find out "disable depth emulation" gives the game a huge boost but e.g. god of war 1 became foggy after that

my laptop dvd rom is too loud that i fear it break my disc into pieces! i made gow's iso using my old pc

but if buying new dvd drive (internal or external) make a noticable difference i'll do it

for now my real question remains unchanged:

is there any way to solve foggy environment caused by disabling depth emulation?

done that before! problem still standing

without disabling depth emulation i have another problem! one is screen flickering the other is something like halo of light around kratos and lines on the surface:
