anyways why not just go config->memcards and rename the cards there (instead of having to go to the memcards folder and renaming it Tongue Mellow )

But will this be a problem?

Probably that could be an issue with some games but then we can have two memory cards, one 8MB for those such of games and one large Memory card for the rest of our games.

Or what about an auto memory card load for each game so we can select what will be the memory card used for an specific game so we can have basically unlimited memory card space.

It's simple. If we do it we will get 9829381274192437180924 posts on the forum like 'OMGZ MY GAME NO WORKY CAN SAVE NOT" because the game doesn't like memcards larger than 8 mb. If a size that affects no game is found maybe it will get implemented.

Bositman what if by default it creates an 8MB memory card and then will also be an option for higher memory card in where it specifies WARNING THIS WILL MAKE SOME GAMES TO NOT WORK.

What, you think these people read any warnings, guides faqs or anything else? Tongue That's what we were thinking though, a checkbox that changes the size of the memcard

And which one of them actually will want smaller card(not checking that box)without thinking that this may brake some games saving ability Smile

I definitely support any improvement in this area. My PCSX2 always gets a little weird when I move memory cards (sometimes PCSX2 still reads the old files, or reads the same file from Slot 1 in both Slot1 and Slot2), so anything that involves changing less would be great.

Well actually the smallest memory card will be by default and then if you enter to advanced options you can select to enable higher than 8MB memory cards, I think most people will not touch advanced options and saying (Experts Only).

Or option two every game will have it own 8MB memory card so a memory card will only save games for that game for example you are playing God of war so the memory card will create a new memory card for that game GOW so this will all you have.

I had a real 16mb card, games took to it fine. but maybe include a loading elf that would make games see them as 8mb ones might work? (I'm pretty sure that's how my 16mb one worked, since it had a CD with it I had to use gameshark v2 worked as well for it thouugh, but I ended up loosing the one, and snapping the gs disc Angry)
