best config speed best comptability for dragon quest 8 pal french in software mode ?

If you really insist completely on software mode, you will need a MUCH stronger CPU. In software mode, all of the "muscle" is from the CPU, and you need a lot of "muscle" to run Dragon Quest 8.

not that I know that I mean if I really want to play in software mode
there is no further adjustment in pcx2 even better for increased speed of the game and general comptability

this game runs pretty well, but only on decent computers.
what you could do is overclocking your CPU to 3.8 ghz, but I'm pretty sure you'll fry it by doing so...
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

ok, I'll try again.
If you really want to use software mode with that PC, the default config is the best one.
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

Sorry, didnt get what you mean.
Anyways, to make it short :
- that game will be hardly playable in hardware mode with your current pc.
- that game won't be playable at all in software mode with your current pc.

2 solutions :
- live with the slowness.
- keep playing on your ps2 until you can afford a better pc.
