best configure

I had searched the forum and the web and i dont understand how to set my configurations so that i can play at highest speed my pc can manage without lagging. I player FFXII and the cutscenes are laggy, the sounds slow down and the graphic aint that good.

heres my specs:
cpu: intel® core™2 Duo E7400
GPU: GEForce 9500GT
Ram:3.25 gb

PCSX2 settings? plugin settings? What do the EE/GS% numbers say when you get slowdowns?
