Alright so I'm trying to play a bunch of my old ps2 games on the emulator and record some gameplay for yt videos along with perhaps streaming a few games but I need some assistance in getting the best settings to not get lag. I've been doing some messing around with the help of youtube videos but I feel like these forums are the perfect place to get the proper help I'm looking for. I'm running the emulator on an hp laptop intel core i3 7th gen with 8gb ram, I'm pretty much a hardware noob so if there's anyhthing else you need to help just let me know and I can tell you. Games I want to play include the likes of the Transformers game, ed edd n eddy, spider-man 1-3, perhaps some need for speed, smackdownvsraw 08-10, smackdown shut your mouth/here comes the pain, kingdom hearts 2, and perhaps even a select few fifa/2k/live/madden games. Any input or thoughts are useful, thank you for your time.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

actually, we do recommend CPUs with ans STR at least above1600.
yours is below 1400. so slowness is to be epected.
give latest git a try, that could help.
apaprt from that, your real PS2 is your best bet to achieve what you're lookin for
