There is the problems, insufficient hardware. Processor is on the weak side(it might be enough though...) and the GPU is integrated. Get another GB of ram and a dedicated video card, it should work.

He might not be able to get playable speeds on this game but I doubt that's got anything to do with the black screen.

@chaoswolf82: if you're running the game with "run > execute" try it with "file > run cd/dvd" instead and see if it gives a different error, also make sure you pointed the cdvd plugin to the right drive. However as mentioned it's very probable you wont get good speeds on this game as it's very demanding.

Basically my pc is crap for what im trying to do. if it cant run xenosaga 1 then i doubt it could run the dot hack games which is why i wanted to run a ps2 emu. ill wait till i can get a modded ps2 or a better setup computer wise thanks again for the help.

I think the dot hack games are actually quite fast, you might have to search for settings for those tho as they have their own problems. Xenosaga just has a very demanding engine for PCSX2 I guess Tongue

I will when i get a pc capable of running ps2 emulation. pr i might get a ps2 and mod it which makes emulation a moot point. thanks agains for the help.

Xenosaga I is WAY more demanding than the dot hack games so you got it all wrong Tongue Remember this is emulation, the simplest visually game could be way harder to emulate than a game with fancy gfx. That said you would really have trouble with PS2 emulation on that rig, so I think your decision is correct Wink
