that's what i thought too, at first. but it worked fine on 2 other laptops. one with the same specs and another with a lower one. what i can't figure out is, why?

best guess: the laptop might lack some features that are required and thus don't really work with the integrated graphics solution. performance of midlevel laptops is another topic.
