command line - what am i doing wrong?

whenever i launch pcsx2 0.9.8 (in xp) from a command line within my front end, i get a pop up window error "cdvd plugin failed to open. your computer may have insufficient resources, or incompatible hardware/drivers"

thing is, if i start the emu by clicking on it, all of the plug ins load just fine. also, doesn't matter what plugin i choose for the drive, it always gives me the same error.

Could you post how you're doing your commandline?

You also may just need the postable.ini file at the PCSX2 directory.
It comes with the 0.9.8 binary package (but not the installer).

If you don't already have one, just make a file with Notepad, and type the following on it:

RunWizard=0

Save it as portable.ini and place it by your pcsx2.exe.

wow am i embarrassed. the folder where my ps2 images was moved and i forgot to adjust that in my FE.
