controller not working properlly

Hello i`m new to this Forum and to emulators as well.
So far i manage to set up emulator pcsx2 and games are working properlly.
But cant get controller to work properlly its acting like x ,square,tringle and circle are same butons as moving analog sticks.
now if i have Xinput and Directinput clicked they are acting like mentioned before but if i unklick Xinput i get X and triangle butons but square and circle are still acting like moving analog left and right.
iT doesnt have enything with input i think now i can have bouth inputs on but when i turn of monitoring i get 2 buttons bck. x and triangle.
Eny thoughts tnx?

No i havent shut down steam,didnt know i should do that. and controler is a clasick dualshock on usb cable.

ok steam is off. and yes adleast it loks the same.

Ok i dont know what is why eny more. if what i said there makes eny sence
But with the steam on or of i went only D input on widouth X or monitoring. and cleared Pad buttons and pressed them again 1 by 1. and this time i kinda got all of em bck but right analog stick. ho is acting like square x triangle and circle butons. like up is trianlge, down is X ,left is square and right is circle.
i kinda wana continue trying 1 by 1 option to see will one be ok or there is just the thing or way should i say.

Ok i got it to work with D and X inputs bouth on widouth monitoring. but sems that one of main things i wasnt doing when changing inputs,clearing the pad butons and pressing them again. Yeah i`m just a stpuid newbia actually  enyway Man TNX for HELP AND FAST REPLY. u are OWESOME
