crashing on boot 1.2.1 r5875

recently installed version 1.2.1 r5875 on my laptop but cant get it to work. it crashes immediately when i try to boot (with or without an iso).

any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

my specs are:
Windows 8.1
6 GB RAM
Intel Core i5-3317U CPU @ 1.7GHz (quad)
Intel HD Graphics 4000
DirectX 11.2

the emuLog is not telling me much either but here it is:

did you install VC++ 2013 X86 redist ?
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti

isnt that installed with the pcsx2 package? or do i have to find and install that separately?

already had it installed, downloaded it from microsoft and reinstalled it anyway but no luck, still crashes on boot :/

tried updating directx ?

try changing the output module on spu2x as it looks like thats the last thing it tries to load before crashing

try one of the latest svn's from here http://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/index.php if you don't have any luck with the other suggestions

you could also try setting the dev9 plugin to null (i've seen that work)
Not sure what graphics card you have, it's memory bandwidth,
it's temperature, fan speed, what pixel shader it has
try TechPowerUp's gpu-z

Not sure what your cpu is try cpu-z

directx is at latest version already. i tried changing spu2x modules but got the same results with each of them. then i got the 1.3.0 r5919 svn and again it crashes on boot but this time with a little more detailed emuLog:

there seems to be a portaudio error on spu2x but i changed to each of the other modules and it still doesnt work, just loads up to dev9 then crashes

just out of curiosity did you change to your device in the configure menu ?
i have 3 listed in mine, although i only use the analog output as i don't have any hdmi equipment

also have you updated your audio drivers ?
