The last person i saw with this issue was getting this as the faulting module "Fault module name: MSVCR120.dll" which means there is a problem with the redistributable install on your computer.

you could try reinstalling it by grabbing it from this link and uninstalling the current install of it: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2...st_x86.exe

The other thing you can try, remove all the PCSX2 folders from your "Documents" and any ini folder from your PCSX2 install directory and try again (make sure you don't delete your bios!). It's a really weird error, most people are saying "Install Windows 7 SP1" but the two people i've seen with it HAVE SP1 or windows 8.1 :/

Also try running as Administrator.

i reinstalled vc2013red and tried running as admin and deleted all the folders but still no luck.

i also have vc++ red for 2012, 2010, 2008, 2005 installed, do u think thats possibly interfering? should i uninstall those?

It "shouldn't" interfere no, but by all means try it, nobody on the web has any solution that I have found so far, it's an unfixable problem, so you could be a pioneer Wink

Have you also tried moving the PCSX2 directory somewhere else like C:\PCSX2 as sometimes Program Files can cause problems.

decided not to uninstall other vc++ red versions, i hear it will affect how other programs run so i rather not screw with that.

tried reinstalling into c:\ but still same problem.

from emuLog it seems it always crashes after it opens dev9, but i already have it set to dev9null so im not sure why its doing that...

i cant believe that theres no fix for this Sad

all i can suggest is download the SVN version of it (or the latest SVN) from here: http://pcsx2.net/download/development/svn.html

you'll lose a bit of speed over the release, but at least it should boot.

delete absolutely everything pcsx2 related you have in my documents, the install folder and even check the registry (there might be some small bits under there), of course keep your bios safe. Then get an SVN build and extract it to c:\pcsx2 (for arguements sake), copy your BIOS back in, start it up, choose english language and use the default plugins (making sure dev9 is set to the null plugin), then ok the wizard and try to boot your game.

Edit: Our friend on facebook just managed to fix it by running the directx websetup, i suggest you do the same. Here is a link: http://download.microsoft.com/download/1...bsetup.exe

if that doesn't help, try the full installer from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/8...redist.exe
