directx problem

Hi guys so its been a few hours already and I can't figure out how to make the PCSX2 to work so I created in account for this forum. I downloaded a game already and the audio plays but there is not video, I tried changing the GS plugin but it tells me to update directx, i've downloaded it and extracted it, i then right click the DXSETUP.exe run it then it gives me an error box that says "An internal system error has occurred, please refer to DXerror.log and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine the problem.

specs: intel i5-2300 2.8 GHz   <-- if that helps
