so i was thinking, if i dont have directx 11 i wont be able to use the latest pcsx2 beta?? is that right?
does DirectX 11 work on XP?

Nope, you will be able to use the DX9 plugins just fine (as soon as you update your DirectX that is).
For the DX11 part you need Vista/7.

it just keeps on crashing. it seems that the latest beta/plugins wont work on xp

Seeing your other thread, you have one of those hacks installed that claim to bring DX10 to XP.
That is your problem. Get rid of this.

XP doesnt support DX10 or DX11 you need to have a Vista or Win7 os that support it. Any hacks that say otherwise is just installing malware.
