dx10 on vista pcxsx 0.9.6

well i installed vista home premium and pcsx2 is working now. I am able to select directx10 and it works, but i didnt really see much of a difference in FPS.

For example, with soul calibur 3 im getting 40 fps in game, but its laggy. For tekken 4 and 5 im getting also 38-40 fps.

my specs are:
amd x2 5000+ 2.66 ghz
nvidia 9600 gso 768mb
vista home premium

would 0.9.7 give more FPS for these games?

probably little better with latest 0.9.7, but thats about right with your specs for those games, there both some of the most demanding ps2 games. Check recommended pcsx2 specs to run most games full speed http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Will-PCSX...y-computer to run soul calibur 3 and tekken 5 full speed you need specs above recommended ones

what if i overclock to 3.0 ghz? How much of a difference would that be?

Also, what games are there that aren't as demanding but fun that i can buy from gamestop?

Overclocking that much you can expect to get 45FPS, but still not fast enough.

how much would i need to overclock to get 55-60 fps? Also, how would i overclock my cpu? My BIOS doesnt have any option to do so
