Alot of extra processes will create the need for more processing power to maintain gameplay speed. General racing games dont take into acount the same circumstances as listed above, therefore dont require as much processing power. Thats the basic gist of it.

In saying that, it means that due to the extra processing required by simulation games (such as GT4), a more powerful system will be required. Hence why GT4 will need a more powerful pc than NFS, for example, to emulate at full fps.
