egmentation fault: 11

I have finally managed to get it set up on my mac, however when I go to Boot CD/DVD it just crashes on me and in the terminal window it displays that, does anyone know what "egmentation fault: 11" is and how to fix this issue, would be a really help. It does it even if I try boot to the PS2 menu (no disc)
