fate unlimited codes

This game can take all speed hacks on without anything really happening. I even have ee cyclerate on 3 and vu rate on 3, all hacks checked and it doesn't look like nothing is breaking.

anyway, I've managed to get 57-61fps but My concern is the audio. even if it drops below 60fps (like if its at 59fps), I can hear the audio slowing down slightly then pick back up then slow down.

Is there a way to fix that?

edit - I know it said the ee cycle rates will cause staggering audio but is that what it meant? just a change in audio speed?

Speedhacks can make the audio choppy, try and lower the latency.

If you're using the 0.9.7 beta try the Async synchronizing mode in SPU2-X.

Thanks shadow lady. That helped out a lot.

I have another question, after going from a fx 5200 to an ati 5870, I'm very unfamiliar with what things can do in the ati manager and in pcsx2.

I overclocked my gpu to 705/1100. apparently, it was recommended and prevented a lot of bsod on most games (not sure y this would fix it). While I was playing Fate unlimited codes, i was getting quite a bit of bsod before the overclock but now its fine. This is only the case without stock ati drivers.

anyway, what is "wait for vertical refresh?" I have everything on high quality in catalyst but with anti-aliasing mode set to adaptive or normal (setting it to high gave me 15fps in warcraft 3 so I kept it on normal, then I was getting 60fps).

also, in pcsx2, what can I set to take advantage of my card? I have it set to 1920 x 1080 but since the emulator only uses 2 cores, I can crank out 2.4-2.5ghz/s. I have all speed hacks on and no breaking at all. this game is pretty stable. Everything else is default (o, I'm using direct x 10/11 hardware mode).

I'm seeing settings like flush to zero or nearest which I have no idea what that means.

That's another term for Vsync. (or vsync is the wrong term, I'm not sure Tongue2)

You could try the experimental AA in GSdx

thanks. I understand now. One last thing... and I think this is a bug (if you want a video, let me know).

One of the characters (archer) has a move where he launches an arrow up into the air, and its suppose to drop back down in front of him and the distance depends on what button you use. But for some reason, no matter what button I use, all the arrows are landing behind me or off the screen O.o

Is there a way to fix that?
