ffxii visual glitch

if this has been posted im sorry but i couldnt find it. anyway my game was working fine until i got to barheim passage. then all of a sudden i cant see anything. depending on where i look my screen is anywhere from covered to ~1/2 covered with some brown stuff i tried a couple different options in the settings none of them seemed to help. when in menus everything looks fine but when im trying to run around i cant see.

try using software mode in gsdx.

no good i tried the things in the troubleshooting faq for graphical errors. native res minimal hw hacks. software mode actually made it worse. caused black screen flickering

update: i blindly stumbled around using the mini map and managed to get the tube fuse installed and the problem vanished. unfortunately im a hapless idiot and this information doesnt help me identify what the problem is. im assuming at least once more this issue will appear in the game. going to make a separate save so i can reload to the messed up part and attempt to fix the issue when/if someone tells me how to fix it so i can verify the fix works. .

something to do with it being dark caused the issue i guess idk.

nevermind the issue isnt gone. literally the next room and it came back. not as bad but still constant glitches where parts of my screen are covered by brown patches. almost looks like the walls are stretching across the screen or something.

Post what version of PCSX2 that you're using along with all of your settings, such as speedhacks and GSDX. Along with the specs of your PC.

thats a lot of info but here we go. pcsx2 version 1.2.1. ee/iop all default except clamping is set to none. vu everything default except clamping set to none. GS all default. GS window all default. speed hacks EE cycle rate 2 vu cycle stealing 0. other hacks all but fast cdvd. both options under microvu hacks. gsd10 settings adapter amd radeon hd 7900 series. direct3D11. interlacing auto. native resolution. enable fxaa. texture filtering. enable hw hacks.the ones turned on(msaa 0,skipdraw 1, halfpixel offset, aggressive CRC). software mode settings extra rendering threads 5. cpu specs amd fx 8350 4.0ghz. 8gb ram. amd radeon hd 7970. windows 7 home premium. hopefully thats enough
