fps problems

I have an nice pc with good specs.
i have played kingdom hearts final mix smoothly, but reasently i got my hands on a copy of ratchet and clank. the frame rate to the game is really unstable. sometimes 20 fps 20 sec later 60 then maby later 40.

How do i raise the max frame rate, and how do i keep my frame rate stable?

Unfortunately R&C is like that, you need a powerful machine to maintain a high frame rate. I mean a new intel haswell or ivybridge running at about 4.5Ghz or so to get decent speeds.

You could try fiddling with the speedhacks a little, that may help, but don't go mad with the sliders because the game goes mega jerky.

i used speed hacks,
but i have 8 cores intelcore i7
with 16 ram
and an nvida gtx 780

the hardware is not the problem.
i tried speed hacks but then it went up to 200 fps
its not fun playing at that speed either.

tell me what to do, im not that good with the pcsx menu

just make sure you have the frame limiter on (F4) when you start the game, then it will stick at 50/60 rather than shooting up to 200

the f4 button is to activate the speed hack

Nope.
It enables/disables the framelimiter.
