game language problems

i have the ps2 emu and the first bio i got (ages ago) was the scph10000 japanese one but its run my games fine but when i put shadow the hedgehog in and the game plays in japanese even if i change the subtitles to english shadow and the other characters speak in japanese and i tryed getting american bio and it still speaks in japanese what the hell is wrong with it? how can i fix it? or do i just have to play shadow the hedgehog in japanese :/

Actually, if your game is a japanese game, I guess it'll be the same if you run it on a US PS2 or JP PS2.
if you run it on your actual PS2s what are the results ?

Isn't scph10000 the one that people are advised not to use?
