I'm running on a dell xps m1710 laptop... core2 duo 3ghz and on a geforce 7950 gtx 512mb with 4gb ram.

the graphics plugin, GDsx, says i need to update to the latest directX in order to run, no matter what setting i have it. I'm running dx9c (4.09.0000.0904) on win xp sp2. Is there a newer version than this?

Also... will pcsx2 run ps1 games? it wont open the psx game images i have.

no it will not run ps1 to run ps1 games use psx for direct X there is a version for mar 2009

BTW this DirectX 9C and 4.09.0000.0904 stays there from a realyyy long time.It's not useful at all to know what version of DX you have(from when)

I was thinking that maybe pcsx2 would run psx games slightly better just like the ps2 does for ps1/psx games. guess that's not the case then. :< thanks for the info.

You do know there are PSX emulators out there, that emulate PSX games just as PCSX2 emulates PS2 games?

Khentix... seeing as how the ps2 ran psx games just fine, that's what i was thinking when i got my hands on ps2 emulators. but thnx for the info. yes, i have psx emulators as well.

The update for DirectX worked, i can now run pcsx2 just fine in any mode. thanks again The Warrior.

This will be very good if PCSX2 can run PSX Games, But actually For PS2 Games we Need Faster PC.But the PSX Emulators Need about 500mhz Processor.
