extended is correct in this case...all of the codes(every code line)are modifying 4 addresses and when you are modifying 4 addresses and you use extended,the first digit of the address should be 2(like it is in those codes)

Those pnach codes work fine for me by using the pnach method and PCSX2OTC(Mode: Apply Mode (One Time)), but I renamed the pnach file name "F0800C1E.pnach" to "BB3D833A.pnach" for the pnach method because of my CRC is "BB3D833A".

The pnach codes are no problem. I have no idea why the pnach codes don't work.

Try to use PCSX2OTC for the pnach codes. There is also Item Selector for Final Fantasy X.

P.S.
FFX cheat problems are mainly battle related addresses which are sometimes changed. Item codes are no problem so far for me. But I don't recommend to use the pnach method and PCSX2OTC continuous mode just in case.

You can do that with FFXED...you can even create the weapon you want and add whatever skills you want to it

The first digit specifies the code type when you extend and it looks exactly like the raw code
0 - the same as byte
1 - the same as short
2 - the same as word

There are two ways to add pnach formatting.

The first is the old one which uses byte,short and word
If a code is 1 byte(only the last digits of the address is modified),the code will look like this
patch=1,EE,00000001,byte,00000000

This will write 0 to 00000001

If the code is 2 bytes(the last 2 digits of the address is modified),the code will look like this
patch=1,EE,00000001,short,00000000

This will write 0 to 00000001 and 00000002

If the code is 4 bytes(all 4 digits of the address is modified),the code will look like this
patch=1,EE,00000001,word,00000000

This will write 0 to 00000001 and 00000002,3 and 4

The other method is the new method which is simpler
Everything is the same as above except that the first digit of the address is replaced by the value for the code type
0 for byte
1 for short
2 for word
and rather than typing byte,short or word,you will write extended.


There is nothing wrong with using either of those methods but it's wrong to say

They will work the exact same way if you replace extended with word in this case(since all of the codes are writing to 4 bytes)
