keep in mind it's not guaranteed to work since Dev9 plugin is still quite unstable and in alpha stages.

The servers for Metal Gear Online 1.0 have been closed ever since 2006... You're a bit late to the party, grotheot, lol.

apparently, a fan community mounted homemade servers this summer. (can't remember the link though)

WAT!? I remember various MGO fans talking and whispering about it, but I didn't have any faith they'd ever get it to work. I know a similar thing was done with Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain back in 2011, but they basically just piggybacked off the Ratchet: Deadlocked servers.
