help with .hack GU vol 2 error

ok so i start the game and everything is ok i skip all the scenes
then on the loading screen i get this error and the game stops after

Grab the latest beta and turn on microVU0 and 1.

im already using beta and which micro vu the one with big speeed up or smal speed up?? noob here

i think he meant microVU in cpu options, not the VU speedhacks,
also its truth that it gives boost in compatibility, but for me microVU slows most games.

try the latest plugins (use peops sound) on 0.9.6 STABLE and see if you run across any problems
