help with pcsx optimization !

Hello, I just downloaded pcsx2 and It seems to be running really badly. I am not really good with computers so any help will be appreciated. Ive tried to run silent hill 2 and resident evil 2 and both are very small screens and the graphics are very choppy. I have an i5-3570k with 8 gigs of ram and a radeon 7850 2 gig. I would think my computer could handle ps2 emulation but.. maybe im wrong??

Are you using ang speedhacks? Tried the mtvu speedhack?

erhm pcsx = ps1 emu, resi 2 is ps1 game, silent hill 2 is a ps1 game.... so you could say he is at the wrong forum
