help with setting up my pc

im planning on getting a video card for my computer to play ps2 games on the pcsx now i have read the specs on the site. i have seen some people on youtube with high end cards and wondering what i should do, will i get good performance with the recommenced video card which is the 8800 and 9600 series geforce cards i believe it was. but what about ati cards.

my system specs are
amd 8 core fx 8120 at 3.1 stock and 4.0 OC
8 gb DDR3 ram 1600mhz
2 tb drive
ati radeon HD 3000 (not so good integrated card,needs to be upgraded)

i don't want to spend too much on a card just to play ps2 games lol,
and also is video ram important, will 512 mb be good or will pcsx require more, and ram mem speed, dd3 or gddr5 will it matter, im just confused on which card to get.

somethin equal or above an HD 5570 would be a good choice to play games @ 2x native

My TV/monitor is native 1024x768 I mean is your setup really that bad. I mean your internal resolution sounds good, and I take it the games are playable on your system.

mine is radeon hd 6770 lol, i satisfy with 2x native :d

I play at 3-4x native depending on the game with my card in specs and its a laptop card..

My Laptop is 1920x1080 and 3-4x doesn't struggle the bottleneck is always my cpu not my card
