In general the i5 will be faster.

But we have a CPU benchmark right on this site!
It's probably better than any other benchamrk based on different softwares.

Just to give you a couple of numbers:

107.99 FPS - SLUS 20672 - Intel Core i7 4770K - 4.5 GHz OC (HT On, Turbo Off) - Barack Obama
100.95 FPS - SLUS 20672 - Intel Core i5 3570K - 5.0 GHz OC (DDR3 1600) - Teufel9000 - CPU-Z

(Haswell around +7% FPS but Ivy has more than +10% frequency).

95.52 FPS - SLUS 20672 - Intel Core i5 4670k - 4 GHz OC - cosmoruski
94.68 FPS - SLUS 20672 - Intel Core i5 3570K - 4.8 GHz OC - Teufel9000

(Same FPS but Ivy has +20% frequency)

86.72 FPS - SLUS 20672 - Intel Core i5 3570K - 4.2 GHz OC (DDR3 1600) - rama
84.51 FPS - SLUS 20672 - Intel Core i7 4770K - 3.5 GHz Stock (HT On, Turbo Off) - Barack Obama

(Same FPS but Ivy has +20% frequency)

Just because you think so?
Or you have some reasons to say that?

Yeah the benchmark on this site is great, it's just that it's missing a lot of CPU.

Of course a benchmark with the application in question is always better than a synthetic, if available.

MTVU gives massive speedups.

Software modes with 3 extra rendering threads.

MTVU gives me anywhere from 5% to 25% speedup, depending on the game. One game I actually get 50% slowdown, but that's why I made the MTVU list.
