is drakengard 1 and 2 still messed up?

hey, I havn't been interested in ps2 emulation in some time now, but with the lack of good, new and niche games that scratch my japanese crazy wtf center I figured i'd give it another shot.

I remember using this last year, I can't remember what version it was but drakengard 1 and 2 were completely fubar, in drakengard 1 constant flickering, 1920x1080 resolution didn't work right as it cropped the bottom of the screen also. drakengard 2 had lines throughout the image, among other bugs.

Is this fixed in 9.8?

using i7 920 with D0 stepping @ 4.2 gigz
gtx280 sli,
6gb ddr3 ram
120gb ssd.
Windows 7 64bit ultimate.

I'd be using the default settings at first, so if anyone with any knowledge regarding these 2 games or hacks/settings that would be useful please, i'm all ears.

Drakengard 1 works without the flicker if you enable "EE timing hack". But it's better if you simply get the latest svn build where you don't need to use it:

That worked perfectly for getting rid of the blinking, thank you.
now the only thing that bugs me is that this game doesn't like anything but native resolution. Oh well, it's just like i'm playing on a ps2! lol.

except a much better framerate obviously.
