Get PCSX2 0.9.7.
Use SPU2-X audio plugin.
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.0GHz
MOB: ECS A780GM-A GPU: XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB RAM: 4GB Dual-Channel DDR2 400MHz OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

i went to the dl site and there only the one for 9.6 not 7
spu2-x 1.1.0 didn't fix the problem

That installer and then use the plugins from this pack:
http://pcsx2.net/files/25100 This brings you up to date with the latest releases which fix the sound issues in KH:CoM. (Which is what i suppose you're trying to play ![]()

The sound issue in KH:CoM was an infinite loading screen problem.
His problem is he isn't getting any sound output from KH.

Still it's good recommendation updating the plugins unless something very specific forces using an older, at least I'd rather rely on one the developers on the issue.
@OP: Risking becoming booriiinnng and repetitive... install in a C:\Games, for example. Just avoid installing in on those C:\Program Files folders. It'll grant no "permission issue" ever gets a chance to arise.

Rama just told you it's the same issue, which can't be fixed. You can only try using PeopS SPU2 as a sound plugin
