So just a curiosity post really, been using PCSX2 for years and running it on my main PC with no issues, the distance this emulator has come is amazing, and the amount of games now playable is fantastic.
I downloaded PCSX2 on my lenovo all in one which rocks a lowly haswell i3 4130t with intel hd 4400 graphics and 8gb of RAM. Its never been able to run PCSX2 above 30fps without stutters and general unplayableness. Installed it this evening and was gob smacked to see Gran Turismo 3's midfield raceway rendering at a nice 50fps at native resolution (EU version) and MGS2 running nicely (the odd drop of 3-5fps) Now dont get me wrong, my all in one sounds like a vaccum cleaner while running the emulator, but it runs and is playable none the less. I checked the STR of my CPU and its 1600 or something. I'm just curious as to whats changed or whats improved as i'm genuinely stunned to see it running so well on low end hardware. Any ideas whats changed?
