Not everyone needs super-mobility. I for one just wanted something that was easier to move to a friend's house for multiplayer gaming than a desktop.

Ehm... So, networks are unpopular now..? To go multiplayer people now need to move pcs to their friends' houses? Now that's a bright idea.

I'm personally using an Amilo XI 1546 Laptop ( XP SP 2, Intel Core 2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00Ghz (2 CPUs), 2046MB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 ( 256 MB ) ) and i'm satisfied with it.
Games works fine, decent fps FFX, FFXII, DBZ Infinite World, Disgaea, Tekken 4, Dragon Quest etc.
PC Games works great also like COD2, 3 & 4, SC Double Agent etc.
