memory card issue

moved from pcsx2 1.2.1 to 1.4.0 but new one wont load my old memory cards (actually, it reads and recognizes it as a memcard but fails to load with error 5)

furthermore, 1.4.0 doesnt allow me to create a new memcard file saying my OS doesnt support it or something

suggestions?

Did you tried running pcsx2 as administrator

If you know what you are doing,you can disable UAC(User Account Control).That thing(at least to me)is really annoying and doesn't make things safer.
