Help! I can't figure out what this is or how to fix it, if it can be fixed Google says it's something to do with my memory (RAM)? Does anyone have a solution for this?

It's an issue that affects a few games still, like those on Guerilla Games' proprietary engine (Killzone, Shellshock Nam '67) and apparently 007 Nightfire has/had the issue as well. It's pretty much what it says on the tin, something in the game's engine and the recompilation process don't play nice with each other and it can cause momentary hangs and/or crashes. I remember back in the day (around 2012 or so) I used to play Killzone in the emu and it would hang about 3 or 4 times during the session and then the next hang would crash the emu. Nowdays the game runs fine but still has the hangs, I haven't had it crash the emu in years. Maybe it still happens, dunno.

As far as it getting fixed? Who knows, random breakthroughs do happen in software engineering but I'm not really an expert on PS2's uarch nor pcsx2's codebase so can't provide much help there, beyond it being a known issue for many years now. If it were trivial to fix, it would've most likely been fixed by now, I'd reckon. Could still happen down the line though.
