missing dlls

Anyways, why do the pcsx2 coders prefer the Web installer over Redistributable Package. I was not able to update DirectX with the web installer but the redistributable package did the work.

the websetup checks with microsoft for the latest available dlls and makes sure all are downloaded, the redistributable packages become quickly out of date.

So you can get the websetup once and just run it once every now and again to get the latest dlls if newer are available.

Try to see what will happen if you place the files from your system32 directory to your pcsx2 directory
d3dx9_43.dll
d3dx10_43.dll
d3dx11_43.dll

found this in the program log:
Loading plugins...
Binding GS: C:\Program Files (x86)\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\gsdx32-sse4-r5350.dll
Windows 6.1.7601 (Service Pack 1 1.0)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti (9.18.13.602)
Cannot find d3dx9_43.dll

i've placed the three files in my pcsx2 folder, this is what came up in the program log:

Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\d3dx10_43.dll
File is not a valid dynamic library.
Some kinda plugin failure: C:\Program Files (x86)\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\d3dx10_43.dll
Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\PCSX2 1.0.0\Plugins\d3dx11_43.dll
File is not a valid dynamic library.

they are probably 64 bit versions which wont work with pcsx2 as they are 32bit. you need the ones from the c:\windows\syswow64 folder

still says it isnt valid? Blink

oh sorry its because youve put it in the plugins folder, they should be in the pcsx2 folder, not plugins. The not valid error is because its trying to load it as a plugin, which it obviously isnt ;p

yup,still not a valid library...
edit: that fixed that valid library thing, but i still can not select the gsdx, still tells me to update
edit2: it works! i found vers. 0.9.8 of pcsx2 on my pc, copied these three files(gsdx-sse2-r3878,gsdx-sse4-r3878,gsdx-ssse3-r3878) into my pcsx2 1.0.0 plugins folder and selected one of them.
