need help with some emulation and also with directx9

These are my PC config
Geforce 9800GT
3 GB RAM
Pentium Dual CPU @ 2.2Ghz
Vista 64 bit

I have tried God hand, Getaway 2, Code Veronica, castlevania lament of innocence and I get mixed results with each. Code Veronica & Castlevania plays very good, but I get problems with getaway 2 and god hand. Both games always slow down for me in open areas, yet in closed areas, I can easily get FPS of 100.

There is also a problem with direct x 9 (HW), whenever i play with it on, everything will be black except for the main character, if i change it to DX9 software, i can see everything but it runs very choppy, if i set it to DX10, the game runs fine, this is the case for almost all games I've tried.

My main question is that is there a way I can fix up the choppy, laggy gameplay in open areas? Is there another game I can try that is known to run very well on PCSX2?

Mixed results are common in different games, even in the same game but different places.
Show us your PCSX2 settings so we can help better but take in count you have a slow CPU for PCSX2 so you shouldn't expect miracles.

Also try the latest beta if you aren't already:

As for games that are better for your CPU you can check this list:

I've attached the pictures of my setup, so far it seems 50/50 on how each game plays, one game I can play very well, some others run real choppy, I have the newest beta version which has shown a huge increase in performance on many games for me.

I got two things to say to you:
1)First of all set the VU cycle stealing to x2 or the FPS count will be not be accurate.
2)Now, you have got to upgrade that Pentium 2.2Ghz to some i3 I suppose :/ to get improved results or atleast try Over-Clocking it to somewhere near 3.0Ghz so that you can get playable speeds.
Intel E5700 @3.0Ghz,
Xfx Radeon 5670 1Gb,
4Gb DDR3 Ram,
Microsoft Windows7 Ultimate x86
