neither controller plugin will save selection

can't get the keyboard or controller to work. i'll go in and configure the buttons, but if i load a game no buttons work. if i configure, then hit ok, then go back into controller settings, it's empty again. why won't it save what i set?

also, prior to starting any game, it tells me

'Failed loading MemoryCard from file: memcards\Mcd001.ps2'

and the same about Mcd002.ps2, but they're clearly in the memcars folder.

might this have something to do with the controller?

Right click, run as administrator.

I suggest you read the configuration guide or the FAQ or searching the forum next time you have a question as all three sources would have given you the answer to this very common question.
