What does that mean? What are FPS%, EE%, GS% (,VU%) values?
What is your exact cpu model?
What kind of settings do you use (Emulation settings and gsdx plugin settings)
It could be that the broken graphics where easier to emulate so that you now get slowdowns due to higher accuracy.

Enable 8 bits texture. And potentially uses only 3x (or even 2x). Game is potentially already upscaled internally.
