pcsx2 cannot find the pnach files

Hello all,

I am new to pcsx2 and have got everything working but the cheats. I am currently trying to get pcsx2 to work with rogue galaxy with cheats. When I load the game with cheats enabled and the pnach file in a cheats or patches folder I get the message "can't find (file location name here)"

However the crc's match my game.

Is there a guide or specific setup for how to get pcsx2 to read these files? I have spent several hours searching the forum and cannot seem to find any answers. Any help would be appreciated.

best to see using 0.9.6's console window(Window bar) if your CRC matches your pnatch file.

Why Tallbender, is there anything wrong with 0.9.8 log.

Make sure the patch file is named [crc].pnach not [crc].pnach.txt

Many of my friends made a mistake in that. The pnach file must be kept in Cheats Folder. Can you post the Pnach file you have created.

Also, I have verified it is saved as a [crc].pnach file (and not as a text file)

I also, from what I've read, enabled each code in the file by removing the comment tags.

The file path is inside a Cheats folder inside the PCSX2 directory that was created in my documents (PCSX2/Cheats).

Patch file is OK.

Ahh. Keep it in the Cheats Folder in the PCSX2 Folder. (where you have installed PCSX2 (i.e where the PCSX2.exe is there) not in My Documents.)

I have pcsx2 r-4999.exe in C:\Program Files\PCSX2 0.9.9\ so i keep the cheat file under C:\Program Files\PCSX2 0.9.9\Cheats\crc.pnach.

I just couldn't find any directions telling me where the darn things go.
