pcsx2 mac fps

ok guys simple.
my mac is running snow leaopard and i have pcsx2 0.9.6 running on it.
whenever i play crash bandicoot wrath of cortex it has a very slow fps of 20 to 30.

anyone have any help / ideas ?

It's should be slow. You use old version of pcsx2, old plugin, not very powerful CPU and, as last hindrance, pcsx2 is not very fast by itself. A top-speed on pcsx2 cost money -- for computer and microsoft's OS.

try some speedhacks? (I have no idea which ones are in the mac version though, I don't have a mac)

joking, can i use bootcamp to make it run better? cus it doesnt go fast on vm ware fusion

Yeah, definitely.
By using Windows you get access to GSdx, possibly in DX 10 mode.
That plugin is pretty polished to run fast and accurate. (As long as your game doesn't do GS tricks anyway )
