pcsx2 on fedora 14, problem starting

omg!! thnx im running thru dependancies atm and writing them down so i know what 'links' to add for dependancies

tho its not exactly working.. gs aint loading.. bositman said i can go ahead and upload it.. so anyone running fedora
can check it out and let me know of anything

helps to have a flat install on my laptop

which revision and which game ? I did not run trunk from a too long time...

Which version of gcc? GCC 4.6 seems to have lots of issue...

its FFX as ive already played & finished it without problems on windows

My bet for this one is a bad opengl setup on your side. In the future (when I merge bmy branch) the pluging will handle the issue more gracefully with an incomprehensible error message

Now the others is much more harder. I try FFX (pal) with 4676 and it is fine. Maybe try to update your PCSX2 version. If is still crash, I will need more info. In the best world, the crashing line with a gdb debugger and a backtrace too. Someone I have also some strange issue in archlinux. I might or not be the same.

my laptop still gives me some errors about gtk radio menu item
by installing gtk2-engines.i686
but other then that, ffx is running (lag) on it

my fps on both my pc and my laptop are 50 -60 on the credits screen, but hit 6 - 12fps on game part

i will warn ya.. im pretty noobish on programming just to mention, this would be my first time for messing with a program in linux
windows i would just change few things but that was long ago.. but i will see what i can do
as i love learning new things

compiled r4676 on x86_64 desktop
still lags.. i must be missing an x86 dependancy or something

i will install x86 as alt OS and see what i can do

Do not worry about radio warning. Actually there is a bug in wx linux. There is another implementation but this time is a bug in wx windows....

Slowdown possibility:
1/ cpu too slow
2/ bad gl driver install that render everything in your CPU instead of your GPU. (check glxgears and glxinfo 32bits)
3/ PCSX2 and plugins configuration: for example AA to 16x !!!
4/ plugins need improvement. But normally FFX hit 50fps easily.
