pcsx2 randomly slow fps

i have an alienware 17 laptop with an i7-4700Q and a Nvidia geforce gtx 780m i used to be able to run games at full fps at 4-5 times native resolution now it only runs at about at 30% speed on native resolution I've tried formatting and giving a fresh install to windows 10 3 times and still no luck can someone give me some ideas how to fix this

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.

• Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using.
  
• What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.
